April 29th?

April 29th?
Do you really want to know where I was April 29th?

Thanks for asking. That’s an easy one.

In 2022, I was in the Lake Powell area with my earthly heart throb.

In 1995, I was in Kansas. That day I married my earthly heart throb.

(April 29th video found at @michellewendt247)

It’s been a journey of highs and lows, ups and downs, mountains and valleys.

It’s been a time of growing together and individually.

It’s been a journey of learning new levels of rewarding peace constantly.

It’s an ongoing journey of loving and laughing together more each day.

It’s that sweet and salty combination.

It’s a journey I might not have chosen at times if I had known brief moments of the journey.

It’s a journey I am forever grateful I am on and wouldn’t have wanted to miss.

It’s our journey and the writing of it gets sweeter and more fulfilling each moment.

It’s a journey that I’m living fully going for the prized “WELL DONE” on a daily basis to confidently know and receive the final coveted WELL DONE with my head held high, looking into the eyes of my Judge with confidence and love.

Thank you Randy for asking me to be your wife, mother to your children, helpmeat, friend, adventurer and so much more.

I love you.

Perspective and Memories

Perspective and Memories
Perspectives and Memories ... two things that can be very impactful and help bring balance to situations.  Help us to grow and expand.

Perspectives are something that everyone has AND to each individual, THEIR perspective is the CORRECT one.

Sometimes we are fortunate to be privy and open to hear other people's perspectives.

Sometimes truths come out that rock our perspectives and how we have been limiting and block ourselves from moving forward living and receiving the blessings that are rightfully ours.

Memories can sometimes be the healing salve or balm to help us make it through the current season that we are in.

Memories can make our heart tender.

Memories can remind us of things in our past that we have made it through and come out on the other side.

Memories can help us see the victory in different situations.  They can help us see how we have grown and become stronger.  Or they can help us see that it is time to break the chains of bondage from our past.

Today, as I am making room on my phone, (yes my phone is full of photos and videos that not shared are useless to everyone including myself.) Thus, I created this video.

What started out as an item on my TO DO list ... has rendered my heart tender.  Has saturated it with love and sweet memories making it full and overflowing.  (Yes, my eyes may have weeped some of the love forth too.  LOL)

Unbeknownst to me, TODAY ... today, I needed this.

I needed the memory of this ride with my husband, my earthly love of my heart.

I needed the reminder of what started out to be a leisurely ride on a beautiful day turned into a torrential downpour.  A time of intense prayer from my inner most being as we were being soaked to our inner most parts (Yes! I literally mean inner most parts ... my bum didn't even have a dry spot and I was sitting on it!)

Even all these years later I remember the battle of my faith against the attack of fear that was attempting to invade my life as I could feel the bike slide on the slick highway, the hydroplane situations we experienced that can be deadly in a vehicle ... let's not even think about a motorcycle.

I remember digging down deep and making a choice to stand firm on our prayer before we set out on our ride for safety, protection and to change the atmosphere and lives we were blessed to cross paths with while we were out.  Instead of walking in doubt and unbelief and asking God once again for safety, protection and connection ... I made the choice to PRAISE and GIVE THANKS for staying upright, for being blessed with a Harley to be able to enjoy the beauty of our surroundings, for a camera to record the memory, for underwear that could get wet even through my leathers (yes, I was digging deep and being creative to keep my focus on praise!  LOL)  ... and for a husband that was confident enough and wise enough to seek shelter under an overpass when one came across our path.

Sometimes in our lacking confidence, we strive and push through situations where it would be best to stop, and reassess or take a break in the storm in fear that OTHERS might think we are weak or "not man enough".

My husband's confidence and seizing the opportunity brought blessings and sweet memories;
- of watching the water pour off the highway above us.
- of laughing together as rain water flowed forth from body places we never dreamed of when getting off a bike.
- of our riding leather being so soaked it added an amazing amount of weight to the load we carried. Not to mention the giggles and images that came when we thought about the leather as it dried and shriveled up.
- of getting to speak blessings and prayers over another biker couple who temporarily stopped under the overpass with us that needed encouragement.
- of being thoroughly kissed by the love of my heart under an overpass as vehicles and semi's traveled over the top of us.

Yes, this was an amazing day that even years later ... is impacting my life for the good.

I am totally loving and living my blessed life with thanksgiving and praise ... even on the rainy days.

What memories are water your inner being today?

I adore getting to hear and enjoy them with you for those that want to share!

My life and passion is all about Standing The Gap from where you are to where you can and want to be.

Be Blessed!

As promised in my video ... here's the 11 reasons with the "fun" words that I can't pronounce well and don't want to put on my skin and into my bloodstream.

Drum roll please .....

2. It’s reef-safe, unlike other commercial sunscreens.

3. Formulated with only naturally derived plant- and mineral-based ingredients.

What’s your words and focus adding to your day?

What favor we have to live and walk daily in The blessed life that has already been planned for us.

About a week ago, on an evening that Randy and I were absolutely whole body spent, we were Divinely connected with a couple who were out and about and sitting in a booth katty whompus (yip one of my creative definitive words for across the way and up a bit 🤭🤗) from us.

Proof that what you wear impacts ... Randy’s small “heart donor” patch on his leather vest lower little pocket opened the door for a conversation that started with a gentleman saying, “I am too!”  In other words, something little and not a huge blaring thing opened the door to connect our lives to unknown opportunities and ripples in the world.

This past week has been a challenging, growing and greatly giving week to the point of not knowing if we’d be physically able to ride.  However, with declarations and standing on that spoken authority, that patch conversation extended into a ride this weekend.

The ride fed a hungry yearning  of my spirit through being out absorbing the beauty of God’s creation and ability to just BE while in the midst of others, meandering  around, eating yummy food, listening to others use their musical talents, conversation, game playing and ultimate fellowship of the Spirit.  Without that Divine meeting we would have most likely yielded to flesh and stayed home instead of pushing ourselves - and oh what blessings and joy we would have missed.

The renewing day fellowship was brought to a close by the prompting to get home before we got drenched in a storm that was blowing in.  With confidence we headed out expecting to stay safe and mostly dry.  (Yes, we should have stood for staying completely dry but we let our flesh open the door to a bit of allowance for some wet. We’re humans in eternal growth mode! )

It was very faith building to be sitting at a stop light watching the rain blow literal sheets of rain across the lanes on the ascending traffic, while our lane was just getting some light sprinkles.  Made me sit up taller with the affirmation that we do have spoken authority over things with a name.  And that I am loved and walk in His favor.

Then came a couple blocks of rain that only got my right T-shirt sleeve wet and not my right leg nor other side of my body.  (Note: the rain was coming straight down and not blowing from our right side.)  Yet another physical showing of His power in even the smallest things.

I gave praise in the confidence that all was well even as we drove in to wet roads with no rain on our side then to totally dry roads.  Just before we hit the dry road portion the back wheel slid losing traction on the wet painted portion of the road.  How like life is that?!?!

Yip! Yet another life lesson coming ... Just as our Heavenly Father has us, my husband had us by totally responding naturally to correct the situation without even noticing that it had happened.  He was so confident and focused on getting us home safely that he did what he has been training and building experience to do to get us successfully home.  He didn’t even realize we’d slid until I complimented him on handling it so well.

So my ponder point ...

Where’s your focus and your daily training going into?

Is it a positive focus to give you life building abilities?

Or are you focusing on negative, binding, life blocking and destructive behavior?

It is written:

In Prov 23:7, “For as he thinks in his heart, so ishe.”

You get to choose what you are thinking ... no one else has the authority.

So what are you choosing to focus on today and open the doors or manifest in your life today?

Is it life giving?
Is it life blocking and taking?

(Enjoy some of the scenery of the day! We rode the Turquoise Trail to Madrid.)
